About.
A well-designed home changes how you live in it. We work with clients who know they want something better from their home. We help them work out exactly what that means and how to get there.
Alec Crisp is an architect and designer creating thoughtful, considered architecture shaped by clarity, craft, and materials. He combines technical rigour with a warm, tactile sensibility to produce spaces that feel refined and quietly expressive.
Alec is a UK-registered architect with nearly a decade of experience at practices including Allies & Morrison and Cooke Fawcett. He has worked across residential, cultural, education, and public projects.
With a particular focus on residential architecture and the lived experience of home—how materials, light, and spatial arrangement create a sense of ease and enjoyment—Alec designs calm, well-made spaces tailored to both client and site.
We work primarily in Bristol and North Somerset, and in London where we have an established network and completed projects.
Services
Construction projects involve a lot of moving parts. An architect can help you navigate them. We can support you from early concept through to completion, or at any stage along the way.
For small residential projects, the process can be understood in three main phases: concept design & planning, technical or detailed design, and construction.
Every project is different. We can support you through the full process, or help at a specific stage::
Sketch design & feasibility - brief development, sketch layouts, planning/site constraints
Concept design & planning – layouts, ideas, and planning applications
Technical / detailed design – drawings and specifications for building regulations and construction
Bespoke support – input at any stage of your project
